Excerpts From a “Lost” Score
Excerpts from a Lost Score
Here are a few excerpts from the only score I’ve ever had thrown out. As mentioned in the book, it wasn’t due to them not liking the score, but because of political issues that came up between the producers that hired me, and the director who was not happy about having his opinions and wishes go ignored.
When music is taken out of a film, its ownership reverts back to the composer, unless there is a recognizable theme that does appear elsewhere in the score. If I wanted to, I could use this music again in a different project, but I’ve never found a good home for it. Enjoy.
