“Chicago Hope” Musical Examples

chihopeChicago Hope: Examples

Chicago Hope
ran for 6 years, a milestone few series achieve. I scored the first four years, creating music that was modern, but emotional and melodic. I treated each episode like a mini movie, developing new themes to use throughout the hour. The show averaged about 12 minutes of score per episode, for which I had about four days to compose and demo. There is more about the schedule and methods in The Reel World.

Hey Jeff,

I’ve been getting interested in this field, and I’m currently reading this book, and have a stack of others on the list, as well.

Thank you for answering questions that I’ve been looking for for over a year. Someone finally suggested your book, along with one or two others. I’m enjoying it thoroughly.

I’m a copyist and arranger, looking for more work, and this book is very educational for me. Thanks again.
